Depends on the child, most of them find the caves great fun and our birthday parties are very popular, however we do not recommend them for children under three years of age. Please remember that unaccompanied children wiil not be admitted.
Sensible footwear (boots or trainers) are recommended, stilettos are definitely not advised (even for the ladies)! Otherwise standard clothing is fine, remember, in summer the caves are much cooler than outdoors.
It is possible with a suitably strong pusher, but due to the uneven floor surfaces in parts of the caves it can be quite hard work and it will be a bit of a rough ride! Please bear in mind that you, or someone in your group will also need to carry a lantern.
No, there is no wildlife in the caves and if litter is kept to a minimum it will hopefully stay that way.

Yes, very! You can't take a torch but we will provide each family group with an Oil Lamp, it's surprising how much light they give. Please treat the lamps sensibly and don't give them to children. The lamps are hot at the top and may be dirty underneath.
Only during the first part of the tour in the lit areas, once you go into the dark you will need to put your cameras and mobile phones away. Thoughtless use of flash can cause temporary blindness in the darkness of the caves.
No, all our guides are experienced in using torches underground, inexperienced users may inadvertently shine their torch in other people's eyes which can be quite painful when your pupils are fully dilated in total darkness. Our Oil Lamps create a far more pleasant atmosphere.
The caves are a constant temperature of 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit) all year. You may find them a little chilly in summer, but quite warm in winter.

No, but there are frequent stops during the tour while your guide explains things to you. However those with walking difficulties may have some trouble keeping up as you will be walking almost a mile.

No, we try to keep our prices reasonable for everyone, they have remained unchanged for five years now. We have reduced rates for pre-booked groups and senior citizens are charged at children's rate.
